Already up to 7 hours of work automated per employee each week
Enhanced execution quality on critical processes with "digital colleagues"
Reduced operational load thanks to Google Cloud managed services
Simpler deployments and facilitated scaling
Accelerated development and faster market release of AI agents
Using Gemini, Vertex AI, and AgentSpace, UNETI AI Labs developed two AI agents that provide advanced operational support. These agents act as digital colleagues integrated into daily workflows, executing critical tasks with a rigor comparable to that of a human expert.
UNETI is structured around two complementary entities. UNETI Ventures, on one side, invests in high-potential startups and supports their leaders over the long term. UNETI AI Labs, on the other, designs tools, AI agents, and software solutions directly integrated into the business processes of their portfolio companies. By minimizing operational overhead, UNETI AI Labs enables startups to redirect their time and attention toward what the teams do uniquely best. “Many teams know what they want to build but are hampered by the difficulty of executing quickly, due to lack of time or resources. Our organization addresses this issue by providing not only financial support but also the technical solutions to move faster,” says Maikel Lobbezoo, Managing Partner at UNETI Ventures.

With this in mind, UNETI AI Labs has developed two AI agents that embody its vision of reinforced operational support: Davis and Nance. Far from simple conversational assistants, these agents are designed as true digital colleagues, integrated into the company's daily life and capable of taking charge of critical tasks with a rigor comparable to that of a human expert.
Davis is a digital investment manager, who plays a central role in opportunity analysis and strategic decision preparation. He quickly summarizes information, contextualizes a pitch, analyzes a market, and more. In other words, companies gain speed and quality of analysis. Nance, for her part, automates financial and administrative operations, from bookkeeping to reporting. She can also manage rules specific to certain sectors, such as in healthcare where actors must manage specific workflows before obtaining regulatory certifications.
"Davis and Nance are not theoretical concepts: we use them every day internally to manage our own operations," explains Maikel Lobbezoo. "Today, they are already saving each employee nearly seven hours per week on average, and our goal is to reach thirty-two hours weekly in the coming months for colleagues in finance and dealflow management. Their impact is therefore already very concrete and perfectly measurable."
To build these agents, UNETI AI Labs relies entirely on Google Cloud, particularly Gemini, Vertex AI, and AgentSpace. The primary criterion guiding this choice was security, as Roberto Ramadhin explains: "Our data is sensitive, and we needed an environment where its processing by AI remained fully controlled. Google Cloud offers us this secure and compliant environment, in which we can utilize AI without the risk of our information being reused or exposed. This is a crucial element for us."
The complete suite around the Gemini models allowed us to move at lightning speed. We can deploy quickly and securely at our startups, since everything with Google is turn-key ready.

The performance of the models and the richness of the Google Cloud ecosystem also played an important role. The UNETI AI Labs teams quickly observed that Gemini, natively integrated with Vertex AI and other Google Cloud services, delivered a level of quality capable of supporting critical processes, whether it's opportunity analysis, understanding documents already in our Drive, or generating operational summaries. Thanks to this technological maturity, the Davis and Nance agents could be integrated into demanding workflows without compromising precision or reliability. "In fact, the maturity of the offering around the Gemini models allowed us to move much faster than expected. The results are robust enough to be used in sensitive functions. As a result, we are confident in aiming for even higher levels of automation," indicates Roberto Ramadhin.
This performance is all the more important because UNETI AI Labs' AI agents must operate in various contexts (finance, healthcare, industry) where information volumes are significant and decisions often rely on a fine understanding of data. By relying on the Google Cloud ecosystem, the company benefits from a platform capable of handling these use cases in a homogeneous, stable, and scalable manner.
Finally, UNETI AI Labs also appreciated the simplicity of deploying Google Cloud services. "AI agents are destined to become true critical applications, which must operate 24/7 with a very high level of reliability," specifies Roberto Ramadhin. "The Google Cloud infrastructure allows for these deployments to be automated using managed services such as Cloud Run or Scheduler, which gives us a solid foundation to deploy our agents reliably, securely, and at scale, without heavy intervention from our technical teams."
This technical maturity paves the way for a new strategic phase. After testing Davis and Nance for its own needs, UNETI is preparing to commercialize its agents. The goal is clear: to make these digital colleagues available to all the companies it supports. Nance, in particular, is intended to become a standalone product, designed to be deployed at scale to all organizations seeking to reliably automate their financial processes.
"Our agents don't just execute tasks faster: they allow us to work better," emphasizes Roberto Ramadhin. "Analyses are more regular, reports are more accurate, processes are more homogeneous. This frees up energy within the teams, who can then concentrate on the essential: understanding the stakes, discussing with executives, making decisions... And if these agents transform the way we work, they can transform that of many other organizations."
Driven by this conviction, UNETI AI Labs is already preparing the next generation of its agents, enriched with multimodal capabilities. Eventually, Davis or Nance will be able to interact using voice or video, join an online meeting, comment on a report live, or answer financial questions during an exchange. The goal is to make the experience as natural as possible by integrating these "colleagues" into existing work environments.
"Working with Google Cloud allows us to imagine ambitious solutions and quickly bring them to life. The maturity of the infrastructure, the quality of the models, and the proximity to the technical teams create an environment in which our agents can truly reach their potential. And above all, Google is to us what we want to be for our clients: a partner that helps us work better and go further," concludes Roberto Ramadhin.

Working with Google Cloud allows us to imagine ambitious solutions and quickly bring them to life. […] And above all, Google is to us what we want to be for our clients: a partner that helps us work better and go further.
